Here is a list of the types of parking violations that may earn you a parking citation in the Town of Plymouth.  Park Plymouth enforcement officers (PEOs) are trained in the definition of each violation, and are required to make a photographic record of every violation for which a citation is issued. This record is used to document the date of citation issuance and to confirm the type of violation, and is used as necessary during the ticket appeal process.  If you receive a parking ticket, you have 21 calendar days to either pay the ticket or appeal it.

Please pay your ticket within 21 calendar days of its issuance.  If you do not pay your parking ticket within 21 calendar days of issuance, a penalty will be added as provided by state law.  And if you do not pay the parking ticket within 42 calendar days of issuance, your vehicle registration will be sent to the Mass Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) to be marked for non-renewal.  If your registration is marked at the RMV, you will be responsible for paying the ticket fine and the penalty amount plus an additional $20.00 for the RMV to “clear” your registration of the marked citation.

The parking violations listed are in effect in the downtown, waterfront, and North Plymouth areas enforced by Park Plymouth enforcement officers.

It should be noted that parking violations have different fines and penalties in newly established Beach Sticker Parking Districts -- e.g., in White Horse Beach Parking District and other designated Beach Sticker Parking Districts. Click here to view the parking fine schedule for Beach Stcker Parking Districts.

Although all parking violation payments are processed by Park Plymouth, the Plymouth Police Department is responsible for enforcing parking regulations in Beach Sticker Parking Districts in accordance with the restrictions and fines denoted on the parking signs that have been placed there.

* Penalty is imposed if fine is not paid within 21 calendar days.
Fine Schedule Effective Date:  May 28, 2018
